Emmy-winning actress Catherine O’Hara has died.

The Canadian-American actress, who famously starred in sitcom Schitt’s Creek and Home Alone films, was 71.

She died on Friday at her home in Los Angeles “following a brief illness,” her agency, CAA, said in a statement.

O’Hara’s career was launched at the Second City in Toronto in the in 1970s, where she first worked with Eugene Levy, who would become a lifelong collaborator – and her “Schitt’s Creek” costar.
